30-year-old is reportedly allowed to leave the club after failing to make a big impact at Barca

ARSENAL are reportedly set to make a move for Arda Turan after Barcelona’s new head coach Ernesto Valverde said he can leave the Nou Camp.

According to Turkish Football, Arsene Wenger is ready to make a move for the Turkey international after the French boss committed his future at the Emirates.

While Haberturk are also reporting he will be the first player to leave under the new boss at Barcelona.

It is claimed the Gunners have already approached the creative midfielder’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, and have been in talks over a deal for at least a month.

Turan signed for Barcelona for £24million after being a key player for Atletico Madrid, but he struggled to make an impact with the Catalan giants.

Turan has also been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer, with Angel Di Maria rumoured to come in as a replacement for the unwanted midfielder.
